In a previous life he co-founded a property company for the second home market which funded the purchase of is first short term property rental. Tristan has travelled to over 60 countires as diverse and Iran and Belarus and interviewed property owners in several dozen. His writing has also appeared in the South China Morning Post and the Atlantic Monthly.
